What type of e-mail can I get on my web phone with PhoneFish?
You can receive all POP3 email accounts through PhoneFish. E-mail accounts from most ISP's are considered POP3 accounts. Your Company may also have a POP3 front end interface to enterprise wide e-mail clients, such as Microsoft Exchange. Contact your System Administrator for more information.
Do I need to set up a new e-mail address to use PhoneFish?
No. The same e-mail address you use on your computer is used on your web phone with PhoneFish. With only one address, it's easy to manage your messages from both platforms.
Why do I need PhoneFish if I get free e-mail on my web-phone?
PhoneFish lets you keep the same email account you have been using, without the hassles of forwarding addresses, managing multiple e-mail accounts, switching providers or ditching your favorite desktop e-mail client. Forwarding your POP3 address to a web-based e-mail phone client creates headaches for managing your incoming and outgoing messages since your e-mails are not maintained by one server. Additionally, the free e-mail phone offerings utilize a web-based e-mail system that is not as user-friendly or functional as your existing desktop e-mail client.
If I receive e-mail messages on my web phone, can I still access them on my computer like I usually do?
Yes. Messages accessed from the phone are still available on your desktop e-mail client. After reading a message on your web phone, you can delete the message from the server if you want to so it will not appear on your desktop. On your web phone, you have the option to access all incoming messages from your POP3 server or only new messages.
Do I need to install any software on my web phone or computer?
No. Your web phone connects to the servers at PhoneFish (through the wireless internet) to allow you to access your mail messages from your POP3 provider.
How much does PhoneFish cost?
PhoneFish offers both a Premium and a Basic service. As an introductory offer, Premium PhoneFish will be offered for FREE for your first 30 days. After 30 days, you will receive a message indicating that your evaluation has expired, and if you wish to continue with the Premium service, you will be charged a nominal monthly fee of $3.95. If you do not need the Premium service, you may continue using Basic PhoneFish for free.
Both services allow you to send, receive, forward and delete email messages on your wireless internet phone from the same POP3 e-mail account you use on your computer.
